Established in 1985, the property is 36km from the picturesque town of Pemberton on the Vasse Highway, and was the first winery to be established in the region. The vineyard is around a three and a half hour drive south of Perth (350km’s) and around an hour from Margaret River. A must see for all travellers heading to the South West, the vineyard is bordered by both the Donnelly River and National Park, and operates Cellar Door sales 7 days a week all year round. The rustic, relaxed atmosphere of the Cellar Door, coupled with the serenity of the picturesque vineyard is very popular with both tourists and locals.
The Mediterranean type climate and rich soil conditions experienced in
the Pemberton region produce mild, soft aromas and flavours. A pioneer
of Donnelly River Wines, winemaker Blair Meiklejohn has conducted years
of research to balance flavours, resulting in the truly distinctive

Wines vision for the future includes the continued efficient operation
of their ecologically sustainable vineyard. The property has 1.7km of
river frontage and uses the river for some of it’s irrigation needs. At
the right time of the year Marron and Trout can be caught from the
river. Recent upgrades of facilities and equipment, innovative wine
production techniques and their team of dedicated, results driven staff
will ensure continued success in the future.
